Lord, you have risen from the dead, alleluia! You have conquered death for me and for all people.
You make us a people of the living!
This is the Lord's Passover, the day of resurrection and the beginning of true life.
May all the baptized burst forth with light and joy today!
On this Easter morning, united in prayer with all my brothers and sisters, I entrust to you your Church and all humanity.
Lord Jesus,
On this day when we commemorate your Passion and your death on the Cross, we come before you with humble and silent hearts.
We thank you for the immense love you have revealed, for your forgiveness offered to all humanity.
Teach us to remain close to you in our trials, to find in your Cross the source of our hope. Hear our prayers for the world, for those who suffer and who still seek your light.
You who knew pain and abandonment, strengthen our faith when silence surrounds us. Grant us to recognize, even in the depths of night, the promise of your Resurrection.
We entrust to you our lives, our families, our communities. May your Cross always guide us on the path of peace and eternal life.
Amen.
Pope Leo XIV wrote a prayer to Saint Francis of Assisi, addressed to the Conference of the Franciscan Family ahead of the 800th anniversary of the death of their founder and published on January 10, 2026.
Saint Francis, our brother, you who, eight hundred years ago,
Went to meet his sister who died like a man at peace,
Intercede for us with the Lord.
You who recognized true peace in the Crucifix of San Damiano,
Teach us to seek in Him the source of all reconciliation
Who tears down all walls.
You who, unarmed, crossed the lines of war
And of misunderstanding,
Give us the courage to build bridges
Where the world erects borders.
In this age marked by conflict and division,
intercede that we may become peacemakers:
unarmed and disarming witnesses of the peace that comes from Christ.
Amen.
Lord,
On this All Saints' Day 2025, we celebrate the glory of all the saints, known and unknown, who walked the paths of holiness and followed you faithfully.
We give you thanks for their witness of life, for their faith, hope, and charity. Through their intercession, we ask you to grant us, who are still pilgrims on earth, the abundance of your mercy.
May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in faith, so that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Lord, in the silence of this dawning day,
I come to ask You for peace, wisdom, strength.
I want to look at the world today with eyes full of love;
Be patient, understanding, gentle and wise;
See beyond appearances
Your children as You see them Yourself, and thus see only the good in everyone.
Close my ears to all slander;
Keep my tongue from all malice;
May only thoughts that bless
Remain in my mind;
That I am so kind and so joyful
May all who approach me feel Your Presence.
Clothe me with Your Beauty, Lord, and throughout this day I may reveal You.
AMEN.
Saint Francis of Assisi
