Lord, in the silence of this dawning day,

I come to ask You for peace, wisdom, strength.

I want to look at the world today with eyes full of love; 

Be patient, understanding, gentle and wise;

See beyond appearances 

Your children as You see them Yourself, and thus see only the good in everyone. 

Close my ears to all slander;

Keep my tongue from all malice; 

May only thoughts that bless

Remain in my mind;

That I am so kind and so joyful 

May all who approach me feel Your Presence. 

Clothe me with Your Beauty, Lord, and throughout this day I may reveal You.
